Going “Green” is easier than you may think. The source of the organic content in JTM products is Humic Shale Ore. Humic Shale Ore is like an ancient compost pile containing highly concentrated organic matter.  It is rich in organic carbon, organic acids and contains no animal bi-products that are often high in unwanted salts and animal proteins. JTM Nutrients uses this perfect organic material instead of the inert or harmful ‘fillers’ used in other products. We blend this ore with specific high quality fertilizers so that you are feeding both the plant and the beneficial soil microbes with one product.  This approach produces a synergistic effect that is better for the plant, better for the soil microbes, better for the environment and better for the budget.  It’s a win-win-win-win situation!

This approach is definitely Green. Managing your plants in a manner that is also supportive of healthy soils is Green – and not just because your grass and plants will be greener in color.  This approach allows for an immediate reduction in nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (NPK) use.  This automatically reduces nitrates and phosphates, etc.  Additionally, the fertilizer that is applied is not just sitting in the soil where it can be leached into the ground water, run off into storm drains or evaporate into the air; it is being assimilated by the microorganisms themselves!  Because the microbes stay right there in the root zone, all the nutrients are held within the root zone where the plant can use them!  Subsequently, even though you are applying less NPK, more of the NPK that you apply ends up in the plant, not elsewhere in the environment where it is not wanted.

It gets greener still. Your now healthier plants (due to healthier soils) are more resistant to diseases and pests so that fewer fungicides, herbicides and insecticides are needed.  A benefit to both your budget and our planet!  Furthermore, beneficial soil microorganisms break down and neutralize toxins and chemical residues in the soil, leaving it cleaner and greener!
